Meigetsuin is a Zen temple in Kamakura, near Tokyo, founded around 900 years ago. The temple is famous for its many Hydrangeas, which are in full bloom during the rainy season here in Japan (right now, that is)
The inner garden, full of irises, is only open around two weeks every year. Usually, there are extreme crowds of people during that time, but because of the current situation all over the world, the temple was almost empty on the day of my visit.
Meigetsuin is located a short walk from Kita-Kamakura Station, around 1 hour from central Tokyo.

man i had a picture of this path at 3:05 as my wallpaper for half a year. I always admired this beauty and magic of this scenery. I always wondered what will come after you pass that gate.
