Mayuko Wakuda, who is on maternity leave after giving birth to her first child last summer, will return as a Monday-Thursday anchor of the flagship program “News 7” from April NHK insiders give an inside look at the spring personnel changes.
Initially, Ms. Wakuda’s maternity leave was expected to last for a year and a half. However, at the end of January, Nobuo Inaba, former director of the Bank of Japan, became NHK’s new chairman.
