Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines left fans feeling let down. Without James Cameron’s genius direction and missing key cast members like Linda Hamilton, the movie lost its edge. It relied too heavily on Schwarzenegger and rehashed the plot from T2. With few memorable scenes and a lighter tone, it couldn’t match the dark brilliance of its predecessors. Following the masterpiece that was Terminator 2, this sequel had big shoes to fill – and it stumbled. For many, Terminator 3 marked the moment when the franchise lost its way, making it one of Hollywood’s most disappointing sequels
